Cancer Sucks! | August 13, 2019

The markets moved dramatically, but that was a footnote in our office last week as… cancer sucks!  In lieu of our regular Market Thoughts, we have an office announcement.

Many of you have gotten to know our Administrative Assistant, Meredeth, over the last 3 years.  She has been diagnosed with breast cancer and starts systemic treatment next week.  You have all seen how indispensable she has been to our business. What you didn’t know?  She’s tough as nails!  She will be in and out of the office for the next half year as she tackles it. She’s likely not happy that I even want to recognize her in this way, but please know prayers and well wishes are welcome!

Meredeth will be back in the office after she kicks cancer’s a$$, but in the meantime her thoughtfulness, snarky sense of humor, ability to keep us focused (sometimes it’s like herding cats), and her ability to stand strong on the toughest of days will be missing from our office.   She would like to take this moment to introduce Stefanie Gatti to you.  She will be managing the day-to-day schedule in the office for us.  Welcome, Stefanie!

Meredeth told me the other day that she looks forward to adding “cancer survivor” to her bio on our website, I look forward to it too! We’ll be pulling for you and we love you!
