Last week’s headlines revealed a change of direction in the labor market. JOLTs Job Openings (Jul) fell significantly, dropping to 8.827M from 9.165M (Jun) (below expectations of 9.465M). The Unemployment rate (Aug) rose to 3.8% from 3.5% (Jul).
